Sending a postcard while traveling abroad may sadly be a thing of the past. On the other hand, listening to podcasts on an Ipod is one of the latest trends. Combine the two and you get PodCards, a unique and modern way to learn English and explore the world. ESL PodCards is a work-in-progress, offering a modest selection of audio lessons featuring cities, towns, and famous people from around the world. Visit the archive and choose your country of interest before you download the PodCards of your choice. For example, click on the American flag and find podcasts about people such as Barack Obama and Angelina Jolie, and places such as New York, San Francisco, and Death Valley. There are podcasts available at low and high levels, recorded in various English accents. The site also has worksheets, crosswords, and transcripts that go along with some of the audio files.
