Winner! ESL Site of the Month Award April 2009
Each month EnglishClub.com searches the ESL web and recommends special sites that we think are valuable for learners. The sites we choose are updated regularly and offer useful resources, lessons and activities to enhance your learning program. Here is this month's winner!
Grammar Bytes
Grammar Bytes, “the instruction with attitude,” offers well presented explanations of the most common English grammar terms and rules. Site creator Robin Simmons uses simple examples and graphs to explain grammar points, including important exceptions to the rules. Don’t be fooled by the screaming ape! Unlike many textbooks, the instruction on this site is light and fun. In addition to the explanations and examples there are numerous interactive exercises and handouts to test your knowledge and prove that grammar doesn’t bite after all. Pages on this site upload quickly and contain no ads. If you can’t grasp a specific rule or concept from your textbook or teacher, Grammar Bytes may help you “get it”.
