Protests In India After Gang Rape

Protests in many Indian cities escalated this week after a of a gang rape died of her on Saturday. The 23-year-old medical student and her male companion were attacked on a bus in Delhi on December 16th. After the attack the couple was the moving bus onto the street. The woman was rushed to a hospital in Singapore, but doctors were unable to save her life. Six men have been arrested and are now being with rape and murder. The protesters want the government to do more to protect women from violence. They are swift action in sexual assault cases and better policing at night.
