Two English Learners Die In Airline Crash
Two sixteen-year-old Chinese students died this weekend when a Boeing 777 crashed at San Francisco International Airport. Over 30 of the 307 people on board the Asiana Airlines flight were on their way to California to attend a summer camp for English learners. Investigators will be reviewing several possible reasons for the crash, including crew error. There was an experienced pilot on board, though records suggest he had never landed this particular type of jet at this airport. Investigators believe that the plane was flying too slowly as it came in for landing. More than half of the passengers were sent to the hospital. Some had serious spinal or abdominal injuries, and others suffered head trauma. One of the teens who was killed may have been run over by an emergency vehicle.
