South Korea Faces Major Credit Card Hack

Approximately 40% of South Korea’s population has been by a major credit card hack. The banking of about 20 million customers from three different credit card was stolen. The data included names, social security numbers, numbers and expiry dates. The stolen information was sold to telemarketing companies. A lone IT worker for the Korea Credit Bureau has been arrested for the hacking. Managers from the phone companies who purchased the data have also been arrested. Any financial losses to customers will be by the credit card firms.
