70 Years After Nagasaki Bombing

August 9th marked 70 years since the US dropped an on Nagasaki, Japan. The city held a special memorial service on the anniversary. The bell tolled at to mark the exact moment the bomb fell. The atomic bomb destroyed the city of Nagasaki and killed over 70,000 people. This second bomb, which fell three days after the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, ended . Japan’s official surrender took place six days later on August 15th, 1945. The average age of Nagasaki’s surviving is 80 years old.
